(above) wide shot - the small figure standing represents the FARC (armed revolutionary forces of colombia). The characters (children) were spraying the letters of FARC and HAMAS on a wall when they are suddenly set upon by snipers. The installation aims to examine the power of a stereotyped resistance to Imperialism as portrayed in corporate, western media - ie how do they ("resisters / terrorists / insurgents" etc) actually appear physically? I aimed to highlight this incongruency by using 'caricatured' figures. This was to be contrasted with the 'forbidden' nature and power of the words FARC and HAMAS. Both are names that represent an "axis of evil" to the US administration. The figure of Jesus is used to exemplify the large, historic significance of resistance to oppression.
